HELP PLEASE

Post by IANB » Thu Mar 02, 2006 12:17 pm

Hi
My future son-in-law has been held in Hamondsworth Detention centre for the last five weeks after being arrested in Edinburgh for overstaying his Visa. He has signed all the papers requesting to be returned to Gambia over a week ago but they informed him yesterday he was being moved to another detention centre in Portsmouth for whatever reason and he refused to go as they would not tell him why he was being moved. As he refused to go they have stripped him of any privileges e.g. access to telephone so we have no way of contacting him or him us.
He only signed the papers requesting to go back to Gambia as he was informed that this is the quicker option for him to get back into the country as my daughter is pregnant with his twins and they wanted to get married in Gambia before she is any further on in the pregnancy.
It seems now that they are moving him to another detention centre further away that he is not going to go home as soon as we thought.
Any advice is much appreciated
Thanks
