12 months salary and bonus - Plz guide me

Post by Anil Mamidala » Wed May 19, 2010 12:41 pm

GROSS
JUNE 2009  58000
SEPTEMBER 2009  52896
OCTOBER 2009  52896
NOVEMBER 2009  52896
DECEMBER 2009  52896
JANUARY 2010  52896
FEBRUARY 2010  52896
MARCH 2010  52896
MAY 2010  52896
JUNE 2010  65000
JULY 2010  58000
AUGUEST 2010  58000

BONUS (NOV 2009)  25000 Rs
TOTAL = 687168 Rs

687168 / 70 pound value = 9816 x 5.3 (India band) = 52028 pounds which gives me 30 points

My Masters degree gives me 35 points

Iam 31 years now this gives me 10 points. Totally I will get 75 points exactl.

I have not taken in to consideration of july and sept -2009 and April 2010 months salaries. Out of last 15 months salaries I found above 12 months salaries are higher in amount. Is there any rule that there should be any continuity in salary months.

Above monthly salaries are gross salaries, there are taxes and other deductions. My bonus amount is deposited directly in to my bank account by my company but it was not mentioned in salary slip of November. Is it ok if i take a letter from HR that an amount of 25000 Rs is deposited in my account in November month.

687168 / 70 pound value = 9816 x 5.3 (India band) = 52028 pounds which gives me 30 points

My Masters degree gives me 35 points

Iam 31 years now this gives me 10 points. Totally I will get 75 points exactly. and also have 3000 pounds equivalent money in my account and english language eligibility certificate.

If my bonus amount is not conisdered in my earnings then i will not qualify for the HSMP.

Seniors plz give me your valuable suggestions.

Thanks a lot in advance

I would strongly suggest you to go through the policy guidance document first since all of your basic questions are answered there. Others can as well answer but it might be their interpretation and not necessarily correct. So always refer policy document.

To answer ur question, the earnings have to be from 12 consecutive months. And how come you got salary till aug 2010 already :o ? who is your employer. would like to join ur company

How do they calculate tax... Can i assume that Bonus is not taxable in ur company. Any decent company will tax anything that they pay you...

If it is taxed, then Form 16 would be of great help.... And 25K is too much to ignore and leave it untaxed.

And in statement, what description does it have ????
