Lol!

looking at some of the updates on this site it looks like they are now taking longer to process application, around 6/7 weeks. Possibly this is because a lot of people may have applied to beat the april fee increase or some were worried about the election having in effect. so hopefully it wont be long before you join the rest of your family.
9 weeks today

threat is not that they will refuse the application ..... threat is that, they will keep the application for another 20 weeks before taking decision ...... so be positive .... if you do not have any criminal conviction than there is not need to be afraid of refusal

Hi guys !!! :D
Just a reminder, British citizenship is a privilage not a right.
We do have the right to apply but the privilage to have it. So be positive it is the home secritary discretion... so with the new government things may change.
If you've no criminal conviction so there will be reason to worry.

best of luck to every one

peace.

You're not the only one - my wife is on 7 weeks now. It's hard not to be impatient when you see responses come back faster than yours - but I guess we just have to wait.

The way the home office interacts, you'd think they process applications for £5! Second class mail for something as important as citizrnship? We paid over £500 pounds for crying out loud, a 1st class stamp wont hurt lol.

Hi all,
I have submitted my application today.
Method: C/S
Place: Hendon (NW)
Nationality: Polish (EU)

A bit surprised with the fee (£735 instead of £655 which I expected).
Just wandering how lond would the process take. The most difficult part of the application was to indicace precise dates of my absence from the UK as my Passport is not being stambed while travelling to/from EU....
Fingers crossed :)

I think the 655 fee was the previous fee, an error from their part! it has only increased by £15, which isnt much.

Process varies on nationality, some countries will require more checks to verify integrity. Also i believe factors such as criminal records or weird references will make the process longer!!

As for your passport, as long as the dates satisfy the residential requirements, it shouldnt be a problem!!

Well, £80 as far as I can count :)
No criminal issues at all.
It strange - in May 09 I applied for the confirmation of my status that was issued as a sort of resident permit. It took them eight months to consider and my Pakistani friend has received his LTR after 3 weeks....
So maybe nationality does not really matter.......
We'll see :)
Thanks

I am not a strong man shekel ..... nationality case worker are people from hell ..... I called today and was told that my application is being assessed ..... when I further enquired about the stage of assessement I was told that application does not appear to be with any case working team intead initial checks (document checking etc) are being done. One of my friend used to tell me that when you apply for nationality they put a chair on the ground floor and take all applications to first floor and drop them from there, any application which would fall on chair will have to wait for complete 6 months and other application will be processed normally.

I lost my hope today that my application is going to be processed any sooner than 6 months period.

Hi,
As you are A8 national, did you just submit your 6 years documentation (P60s etc.) or you also had to include your WRS certificates?
Thanks
I had EEA3 that was issued upon producing WRS and my employment history. However apart from submitting my EEA3 (Permanent Residence) I enclosed my P60s as well.
There was a problem with missing P60 for 2007 but end-of-March-2007 payslip was accepted along with the employer's letter confirming employment since 2005 WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

I produced my WRS after 1 year to receive EEA1 and it was granted, however I never applied for EEA3 as UKBA says is not necessary now, however now I am worried as I applied for Citizenship and only sent my 6 years worth P60s, but I didn't send WRS forms as I forgot about them and later assumed they have seen them upon applying for EEA1. I don't know what to do. Shall I call UKBA and ask if I need to send them now or wait for a letter from a case worker?
Have you enclosed any coverring letter?
If not, write one and fax it over to UKBA quotting your reference number which you should have on the anknowledgment letter from them. Anyway - should they have any queries they will get in touch with you.
When have you applied? Any feedback yet?
Where are you from originaly?
