I agree Devonian, fake. Shame on this person for coming on here and taking us as fools. Curse on me if Cardi is genuine but their story is getting more and more bizarre. Sorry after the Cambridge story I just don't believe it anymore.

As for getting the ILR with positive thinking, I sure the poster you attacked on here a few weeks ago is wishing the same for you... not.
Why would a BA official waste his time on this forum? Having said that, total lack of any response from this cardi fellow to the various allegations is also dubious!!

So...after sending a letter of complaint, e-mail complaints, telephone complaints, I finally heard something back from HO. They sent me a letter today telling me that my caseworker will contact me within 20 days about my complaint.

I've tried contacting my MP again since the election so I can make a complaint via the ombudsman but he hasn't replied yet. So as well as waiting on HO I'm waiting on my MP too.

Life is a waiting game I guess. At least one positive thing I guess is that I have or will have a caseworker.

Thank you Beige for continually updating the list. :D

Yay!! Thats awesome news! That means your application has been allocated to a caseworker who should hopefully start doing something about it.

Post by 10LONDON » Fri May 21, 2010 10:39 am

Received my ILR visa! Very surprised to receive my passport this week as I thought application process will take around 6 months but only took 3 weeks! My 10 years visa includes: student visa, HSMP, Tier 1.

Supporting documentation with my application:

2. Current and previous passport.
3. Last 6 months wage slips.
4. Last 6 months bank statements.
5. Letter from employer.
6. Life in the UK pass notification letter.
7. A cover letter: current status and summary of achievements in UK during 10 years period.

Passport sent to Home office via Royal mail: 28/04/2010
Acknowledgement received: 05/05/2010
ILR Visa Issued: 12/05/2010
Received passport with visa and supporting on post: 19/05/2010

Congrat 10London.

It seems we judged cardi too quickly and too harshly. If cardi is reading I sincerely apologise. What isn't fair is that UKBA seem to up their game and are processing new application as soon as they arrive. What about the "historic" applications? Surely common sense dictates that you process applications in the order they came in???

Sorry... forgot.... we're talking about UKBA here aren't we

Congratulations 10LONDON!!!

My 10 year ILR application timeline was very similar to yours:-

-Application sent 19th April 2010
- Application Received by HO 21st April 2010
- Acknowledgment received few days later
- ILR granted on the 10 May 2010
- Passport with ILR received on 14 May 2010

(from 21st April to the date when ILR granted – took 2 weeks and approx 4 days…)

Anyway, 10LONDON you must be very Relieved as now you don’t have to think or worry about any Visa extensions anymore…

Congratulations again!!! Enjoy and Celebrate..!!!!

Cardi - did you included similar documentation with your application? It would be helpful if you could post the documentation you included with your application.

Thanks

Hi Kiwigirl25,

I have posted to HO the following:

-All of my passports I have held during the last 10 years
-Apllication itself...
-Life in UK test
-Police Certificate (I am a national of a country which UK requires to register with police..i.e. each time visa extention, or home address change need to report to police..hence the police certificate...where all of change of circumstances recorded..)

Thats it, these are the documents I have submitted. I dint write any Covering letter...

Congrats to 10London.

I applied on 8 Feb and just rang the Home Office for update as it's been more than 14 weeks for me.

The lady on the phone told be it's yet to be completed. And I asked whether my case has been assigned to a casework, and she said yes. But she warned me that it could take as long as 6 months before I hear from them.

I will be contacting my MP to table my concern. I need my passport for business travel and now I cannot. I am supposed to help bring in revenue for UK gov but they are hindering me from doing so. The Home Office really needs to put themselves in the shoe of the applicants.

Have a lovely weekend to all

I think you can work for up to 4 months full-time after completion of your studies but you mustn't work for longer than that to keep within the terms of your student visa.

I think the best policy is to ignore anyone you don't believe. To make such posts only brings conflict to this thread which will result in the thread being closed and user's accounts banned. If we ignore anyone that is a bit dubious then they will soon go away.

SORRY BUT i AGREE WITH DEVONIAN
i think there are many timewasters on this forum lately, who come here just to stir things up... Please get a life! Why did you guys follow the forum in a total silence and only came hear to tell us STORRIES once you have your documents back

with regads to GENUINE users - perhaps we should do a call out - can all of those who are in the bottom of the list confirm that they are still present on this forum?! Well I know that kiwigirl coolboy beige and devonian are here (sorry if I missed someone who posts here on regular basis)... who else?
