mechanical engineers

hi guys,
one of my friend is a mechanical engineer BE
in which occupation he can apply as there is no exact match availble.
he is working in process indusatry can he come under supervisor process industry???
plz help

First need to see if the job is listed in the current list of eligible occupations:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/ ... s.asp#list

If not, he would need to either have HRSDC approved job or been legally in Canada for at least one year as a worker or a student.

Note that the list of eligible occupation may change.

yes his job responsibilities comes under 9212
as he is working in paints/ chemical process industry.
but working as a plant engineer of that process facility

is that enough for him to apply??

He still needs 67 points, but needs to have at least one year experience in the eligible list. If his work responsibility match those in 9212 then the next step would be to see if he get 67 points. If he does, he should be able to apply.

Also note that the list may change, with some occupation taken off and others added. If his occupation is on the list now, he should apply soon.
