Is VISA required for UK visit in this case?

Post by JACKY123 » Fri May 21, 2010 10:01 pm

Hi there

I recently received my Irish citizenship and passport. I have applied for my daughter who is still Non EU but her Irish Naturalization application is in progress.

We are going on holidays to UK. Do I need to take a UK Visa for her or any other permission ? And would she be requiring a Multiple Entry to enter back into Dublin ?

Pls give any required info. Appreciate your responce.

Thanks

How old is your daughter? Is she dependant on you?

Thanks for the reply.

My daughter is 10 years old. we are going on holidays first and then settle down for couple of years. She will be a student.

1) So do I need to take a EU Fam permit to go to UK ?
2) Is Multiple entry VISA into Ireland free for her if parents have Irish Nationality
3) We both parents have Irish Nationality.

Pls respond ASAP. Appreciate any responces.

Cheers

Yes, an EEA Family Permit is to be issued free of charge and as quickly as possible, by the British embassy, Dublin.

The EEA FP is good for multiple entry and is valid for six months. If you need another EEA FP (due to the six months being up), it's no problem to apply for a second EEA FP (or a third.. etc).
