Hi,

If you have already provided a pre-paid self addressed special delivery (next day delivery) envelope with your application, it should reach you the next day of posting. If its a normal post, you can't guarantee the timeline, but it should be within a week's time I suppose.

Can you please share your case back ground (like wp / tier 1 / tier 2 or combination etc..), the timeline (date of posting, date of acknowledgement letter, money taken etc..), if its an application for you alone or with family etc.. This information will also help others on the forum.

One question...when your 1st WP was curtailed and then you subsequently transfered to the other company, did you applied for another FLR (IED) document based on the new WP from the other company?

There had been incidents like these in the past that will haunt you come ILR application.

I got my documents today with a refusal as I have not spent continuous 5 years because my first work permit was curtailed after a year even though I was in continuous employment with the new employer who had transfered it .
Anyone with a similar experience! I can't appeal as the I have leave to stay still .What do i do now .Can I write to the case worker by email ? I heard someone mention in earlier messages that you can find the email from the names . how does that work ? Is it just the initial and the surname? Please advice as I am quite upset.

Received my ILR visa!

Post by 10LONDON » Fri May 21, 2010 10:46 am

Received my ILR visa! Very surprised to receive my passport this week as I thought application process will take around 6 months! My 10 years visa includes: student visa, HSMP, Tier 1.

Supporting documentation with my application:

-Two signed passport size photos.
-Current and previous passport.
-Last 6 months wage slips.
-Last 6 months bank statements.
-Letter from employer.
-Life in the UK pass notification letter.
-A cover letter: current status and summary of achievements in UK during 10 years period.

Passport sent to Home office via Royal mail: 28/04/2010
Acknowledgement received: 05/05/2010
ILR Visa Issued: 12/05/2010
Received passport with visa and supporting on post: 19/05/2010
Total: 21 days

Thank you everyone for sharing information on this forum. I found this forum very useful for all my visa applications- student visa to HSMP, HSMP to Tier 1, Tier 1 to ILR.

Post by santosh_kalluri » Fri May 21, 2010 2:36 pm

Hi,

Can anyone advise pls?

Documents posted on 15th April 2010
Money taken from my A/C 19th April
Ack received on 22nd April
I need to move to Singapore on an Intra company assignment (long term) in few weeks time.

If I withdraw how long does it take to receive my docs & passport? Can I apply after 1 year if I come back to UK and show them the intra company xfer letter?

Thanks,
Santosh.

P.S: Mine is not a straight fwd case, I had 5 months break and I have attached relevant medical and employer letters.

My SET(M) Application timelines, thought this would help others.

- Had claimed Health in Pregancy Grant without knowing it is public funds and later returned the funds to HMRC.
- Entry delayed to the UK by 5 weeks.
- Been away from the UK with my spouse for about 15 weeks.
- Again, been away from the UK (visiting family) for about 7 weeks.

SET(M) Application posted: 4th May, 2010.
Fees taken off my credit card: within one week.
Acknowledgement letter received: within one week.
Requested for docs and spouse passport to be returned: 19th May, 2010
Passport received with ILR Stamp: 24th May, 2010.

I was told that my application wont be looked at untill 14th May, since I have delayed by entry to the UK by 5 weeks.

thanks
Sama

I'm not seeing much post on success stories with ILR. Any update with timelines & a bit of case history will be helpful for all .

I haven't heard anything on mine. Its now 13 weeks.......

I must admit this wait is one of the worst I have / had so far.......

As I'm getting worried about my application and have a cousin's wedding to attend in 5 weeks, I thought I'd post my details too.

SET(O) 5 year WP application posted: 17th March 2010.
Fees taken off my credit card: 19th March 2010.

My company applied for me, which I thought makes it a straightforward one as the lawyers have processed quite a few. 10 weeks tomorrow, no reply as yet.

Its really disappointing to see such long timelines even for straight forward cases including mine. I initially though it may be two months max. The worst part is, its difficult to convince & find out reasons for the delay. To make the mater worse, no way to have a status update till 14 weeks & there after also no clue apart from sentences like "the case is under progress...".

No idea as to how much time it will take...

However, please keep posting for everybody's benefit.

Waiting time for Postal Applications

The official statistics
70% of postal applications are decided within 4 weeks (20 working days)
90% within 14 weeks (70 working days).

However the above includes all types (categories) of postal applications.

Well, you are right....but that's the latest you can get from UKBA website (by the way, these are now under the archived section of the UKBA website). This stats are based on Apr06 - Mar07 applications. Unfortunately that's the latest stats available for charged application @ UKBA website.

At a much broader level they say "decide 95% of postal applications within six months". I'm sure UKBA tracks the timleines of all applications, but failed understand why they don't share the latest stats.

For me it was just over a month

Applied for ILR SET(M) - Spouse of British Citizen
Document sent - 16th April 2010
Document recieved - 17th April 2010
Payment gone through - 22nd April 2010
Ack letter recieved - in about a weeks time.
Documents received - 20th May 2010 (supporting documents recd. saying decision has been made on my appl but didn't say what the decision was)
Passport delivered - 24th May 2010 (with ILR stamped)

They are pretty good, as long as you give them all the necessary documents & mention everything in detail & clear. My case was pretty straight forward.

Congrats!!

Good to see some good news after long time.....although I have no clue as to what is happening with mine. Seeing these good timelines add to my worries.

Enjoy.

Hi Dish71,

If you still visit this forum, please update us on the ILR timelines you had. It seems you never updated the ILR received & approved dates in the forum.

I think this will be helpful for everybody's benefit.
