advice status for children of ILR status father

Post by snowhite » Tue May 25, 2010 11:16 am

hi,

Im seeking advice for my friend, he has received his ILR in january this year, and he has 3 children, whom are just under 4 years all of them. They have born in uk and registered. Can they apply for british citizenship now or what is the procedure?

He will be sending his naturalisation form this week.

Also, a quick question, can he travel outside UK without any problem? Thinking of travelling in june but he might not receive his passport back by june if he sends it for his naturalisation application?

Please advice.

Thanks

Use the NCS if he wants to retain his passport during the application process.

hi,

Thanks vinny for your prompt reply, may i know on what basis they could apply (his children) and what forms do they have to fill. Do they need to give their mothers details? Can they apply under their fathers status only?

thanks
