"Evidence of how your trip is to be funded"

Post by Q4sim » Tue May 25, 2010 2:37 pm

Hey everyone,

The following is a section in the VAF4A Settlement visa application form.

"Evidence of how your trip is to be funded"

If my wife deposits money into her bank account a few weeks before she applies for her visa, should she mention where this money came from as she doesnt work?
Or would a bank statement showing this money be enough?

Thanks in advance :)

She needs an explanation.

If the money is in your account, why don't you be the sponsor?

Ok..heres the situation.
I am the sponsor and the money in my bank account is all accounted for. (It has come in from my wages) and I have savings of about £1800.
If I deposit an extra £500 into my bank account and explain that my father has helped me out will this be ok? Or will it look like I have to depend on him for help?

I'm certainly no expert but wouldn't it be easier if she states that you're paying for the trip seeing as you're the sponsor?
