I think the best thing to do as Kiwigal suggested the other day is it to ignore posts you think are bogus and reply to the ones you think are genuine. Or else, we will keep having the same arguments and repeating the same thing over and over again.

It may be well possible to get ILR in 3 weeks after a postal application, but only the UKBA and the recipients of the ILR know for sure. The rest of us just have to hope (and pray for the religious) that we don't have to wait months on end.

WHAT A GREAT NEWS!!!
finally you can have a great weekend - Sunday and Monday are expected to be as warm so make most of them - treat yourself to something special, you really deserve it after the amount of energy that you have wasted in the waiting game

we will miss you here but I am really glad now that your name is in the top half of the list as the amount of your waiting time was scaring everyone here big time.

what about SR - any news? SR are you still following the forum :?: :

SR is my friend he has already been refused twice because 0f 2 silly gaps this is his 3rd time so he is still waiting.

Thanks for repplying - so it may be the case that SR's application will take a bit longer to consider as it is not a straight forward one...

I was hoping to see the January list clearing by now but it seems its really slow, wonder how long I may have to wait for mine :?

Average Processing Time = 30.44118 weeks [ Based on 2009 Applicants data]

------------------------------- = 28.63684 weeks [ if you add the 2010 applicants (london101 and sa) data

personally, I would go with 30.4 weeks time slot.

p.s : even, if we give NowayOut a random 32 weeks time line still the figure would be 29.88

Hi,

Anyone knows how long does the HO take to send passports back once they have reached a decision? I was asked to come to the HO for an identity check. there they told me to expect the passport within a weeks time. Its been 3 weeks now I haven't recieved anything. when i call them they have no updates. has this happened to anyone here?? how long do they usually take to send the passport back. i applied for ILR under long stay category. any opinions/suggestions will be wellcomed. the wait is aweful !!!

Other people on here have waited up to 2 weeks after they get a letter from the UKBA. I suppose it varies from case to case, one size does not fit all when it comes to the UKBA. Just be patient, they'll get back to you once they're ready. :D

Hi all
it's so annoying when you have received an acknowledgemant letter but money is not taken by UKBA. I am keep checking everyday my bank account and also keep checking with bank people but they says that there wasn't any attempt to take money out. I don't know what UKBA now going to do! might be they are waiting for any new law maybe that's why they haven't taken money yet!!! It's just so bad where we can't even ask to ukba anything b4 14 weeks.

HELLO EVERYONE!
WELL, IT LOOKS REALLY QUIET HERE LATELY.

I personally have not had any news yet and am not expecting to hear anything any time soon. I think first we should hear something from January-February applicants....
Now, did anyone hear anything about progress, or perhaps someone read some news on other forums - keep us all posted please!

So, where is everyone - perhaps you guys got your documents, got really excited, bought flight tickets and went on holiday

That is actually really weird. Since the UKBA have not returned your application, thats probably a good sign right?! Maybe you ought to call the charging team or something to make sure or at least verify what exactly is going on...

That's exactly what I thought  Maybe that's what's happen to the UKBA staff. They've closed up for the summer and have gone on holiday. Sure feels like it.

I'll wait until at the end of next week because I applied 26 days earlier b4 the completion of my 10 years in other words I sent my application just after 9 years 11 months and 4 days so I am just thinking might they process my application(will take money) when I compete 10years which would be 4th June2010,And if they still not process my application at the end of next week then I'll try to contact them.

try to contact them.
