As you are a British citizen then you can claim JSA and other benefits and it will not affect your wife's ILR

2036789, what sort of JSA are you claiming. If Contribution-based do appreciate that it is not within the definition of Public Funds, as in para 6 of the Immigration Rules. So clearly not a problem claiming that.

But if you are claiming income-based JSA then you need to ensure that you are not claiming more such benefit because your wife is living there with you .... in order to comply with para 6A of the Immigration Rules.

But can I ask, any children in your household?

the entitlement to JSA would be as a single person and once your wife gets her ILR should you still be out of work it would then be changed to married mans allowance.
So need to tighten the belt for a short period of time

mochyn, what you have posted assumes that the claim is for income-based JSA. But we don't know that yet.
