HI all,
I got a call from BHC today. A disgusting tamilian guy with his south indian accent interviewed me.I guess he was from INTEGRA. Asked me all sorts of questions about my company(self employed).Asked details of my employees and their phone numbers. He called my employers. And he called me again.Oh god he has doubted me that I was fake just because I am from Hyderabad. That was so insulting.I did my MS from USA and I submitted every document they asked for in the application and everything is genuine. It feels bad when people like this tamilian guy doubts someone like me for such very silly reasons. And i guess my visa is in doubt.

I guess they verify stuff, I got my visa on sat applied from VFS Mumbai.
My BE degree was of 2001 and I took a long time to finish my engineering. I also did mention this in my cover letter. Dont worry I have a feeling your visa must be approved.

Congrats Argus7...

Even i applied on 10 May 2010 from Hyderabad VFS

On the VFS website is states:

"As a general guide, customers should allow at least 1 week for non-settlement visa applications to be processed if they have travelled to the UK within the last 5 years. For all other non-settlement visa applications, we recommend that customers apply at least one month prior to travel. Settlement visa applications may take up to 12 weeks to process"

I have travelled to UK twice and I'm still waiting for the update, don't know why this is taking so long....i am already in my 5 week...
Don't know when this wait will be over.

Any update from Vidya?

Hi All

I have applied on 31st may 2010 in chennai VFS. I have received a mail today from them stating " A decision on your Visa application reference number:xxxxxxx has been made by the British High Commission.
Your application has been received at the UK Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection."

Since it is past the collection time, i am not able to collect it today. Please let me know what this statement means. is it approved or rejected?

I m little scared because this is my second application, The first application was rejected because maintenance fund fell below the limit on one day.

Thanks for your help.

"disgusting tamilian guy" with his "south indian accent" ?? you're India's answer to dearly beloved whites in London! pls keep your disgusting prejudices to yourself!

In case you didn't know, 'self-employed' applicants are subject to much more scrutiny than salaried people for the simple reason that there is hugely more scope for false documentation, etc. So maybe it was part of the "disgusting tamilian guy"'s job to make sure that your application was genuine? And maybe everybody doesn't judge people based on their "south indian accent".
