what does it mean if they ask u to send in photos

the home office asked me to send in photos in february last year 2009 im stil waiting am i ever going to get my documents mine is a legacy case.i claimed in 2004 wil i get indefinite

Were they passport photos?

If it was passport photos they asked for then this is mandatory for any application as they need one for the ILR "visa" and one for their records.

thanks 4 the reply kiwigirl ..i've been waiting for a year and 4 mnths since i send in the passport photos is it definately ILR coz i've heard other people are getting 5yr visas?do you know if other people have waited this long??
