Tier 1 - 3 year bachelor degree from India

Post by vet » Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:29 pm

Hello All,
I am planning to apply for Tier1-general category. I would like to know whether I can claim 30 points for my 3 year Degree from India ( Bsc). I can see my University name in the PBS calculator. But i am not sure whether this 3 year degree is equivalent to a UK bachelor degree. I heard that UK border agency will reject the application if a degree is not equivalent to a UK bachelor degree. any idea ?

Thanks

Hi ,

The only best way is to send your degrees to UK NARIC and one you have a letter confirming your degree equ. to UK BSC than i think agency will have no problem at all..................................... send your degree now :) to UK NRIC
Thanks

Thanks Ali for your reply.so, the conclusion is "even if the PBS gives 30 points for your degree, its not an assurance that it is equivalent to a UK degree".. correct ?

naaric is suggested. however if ur university and degree is there in PBS calc no need of naaric. go thru PBS guidance.

Ali pls dont misguide aspirants .

PBS contains data from NARIC for UK equivalent degree(pls read the PBS guidance carefully..it is stated there), so if your degree is there in PBS u carry on and you dont need a NARIC letter..good luck!!
