Tier1 - How many years visa will be granted - Who inside UK

Hi All,

I am under Tier2 and planning to switch to Tier1. I am bit confused on the number of years granted after 6th April 2010. I could see in terms and conditions that there will be only 2 years of grant. But in some of the pages which I could see if I apply within UK 3 yrs and from outside 2 yrs.

Did anybody applied from UK and converted Tier2 to Tier1 ?

If you wish to apply for Tier 1 G you will initially be granted two years visa with an option of extending for another three years.
This rule apply to all applicants applying from anywhere in the world for Tier 1 G.
