Already have Tier1 - Need any other document ?

Post by arijitraja » Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:52 am

I fly to UK June 23. Do i need any document like proof of accommodation or job letter or anything at all apart from the Tier 1 Visa stamp I have on my passport ? Not sure if the entry clearance thing still stands ? Am a bit confused. I plan to go there, stay there with a friend, travel around a bit and then search for a job.

Cheers,
Ari

Carry the documents you used to get your tier 1 visa in your hand luggage. They might get handy at immigration desk. Make sure you have your friend's address. You will need it. Also get a chest x-ray. It will save you time.

Hi ,

Pack your bag and go .. nothing required .. but just keep all the documents for your TIER1 application .. make copies of your CV , take some 20 photos ... :)))

Good luck!!!
Thanks

It really depends on which country you are travelling from. Even if it is not mandatory, it is better to carry one. If you dont have it they might do it at the airport. But, if you have it handy, it will save you a lot of time at the immigration. Believe me, you will not be in the mood to wait after a long flight. It is totally upto you.

"A further benefit of the programme is that successful applicants will no longer need to undergo medical inspection on arrival in the UK before being allowed to enter the country. This can be a time consuming process but can be avoided if those coming to the UK carry their screening certificate in their hand luggage to present to an immigration officer on arrival in the UK."
