Will a Tier 2 Visa over a Tier 1 Visa nullify tier 1

Post by anandpathak » Tue Jun 22, 2010 8:27 am

Dear Friends,
I have a query regarding the validity of my tier 1 Visa which is valid till June 2012.I have not done my dependents toer 1 -dependent Visa yet .I am still in India and not travelled to UK even once yet.
Now the problem needing your help
My current organziation is not aware of my My tier 1 visa status.
They are asking me to apply for Tier 2 visa along with my dependents.
Long back, i dont remember where , I had read that new visa cancels the Old valid visa.
I checked with VFS Bangalore , they say that they are not aware if my Tier 1 visa will be getting cancelled as this dicision will be taken by UKBA during tier 2 visa processing. I am not inclined to take this last moment risk.
Could you please help me with the correct information.
Best Regards
Anand

I think the tier -1 visa gets NULL and void when you apply for tier-2.

can't you let your employer know your visa status. You can go there and work for them if they are ready to pay you in UK currency (which I largely doubt)

Your tier 1 visa will be invalid once you get tier 2 visa.

You dont need a separate VISA.... just go and work with the same VISA. Say ur current employer that you already hold an work VISA to work in UK.
