FLR(M)- 6 items of correspondence addressed to both???

Post by eva82me » Sun Jun 20, 2010 5:48 pm

Hi guys,

My husband got his ILR granted recently. I am going to switch to Spouse Visa soon.

It is my first time to apply for an extension in this category. I was wondering as a wife, do I need to provide 6 items of correspondence addressed to both of us?

Please give me some advices. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply.

My husband and I married to each other on Jan 2008 in our home country. After that, I applied for my work permit dependant visa and came to UK on March 2008.

My husband recently got his ILR based on 10 years lawful stay. I am going to switch from the dependant visa to Spouse visa.

I notice that on the FLR(M) form section 10C, these are the requirements for the unmarried partners or civil partners. As we are the married couples and it's my first spouse visa, I don't think I need to supply these items. Am I correct?

Can anybody who have the same experience give me some advices?

You are correct. The requirements you mentioned in your original post only apply for unmarried partner visa applications, NOT for spouse visa applications.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

I agree with Dawie, You don't need proof of cohabitation in your case.
