In Country processing Time

Post by botalian » Thu Jun 24, 2010 10:17 pm

Is there any body who has applied in March for Tier 1? I have applied in the last week of March. have received acknowledgement letter and since then no response. now really worried. Can any body update, is HO having backlog?
They have taken my processing fee but not for my dependent.
Please advise further action. would be really thankful for your assistance.

There is no such back log. Home Office is giving decisions within less than four weeks. I am aware of a case with following timelines

Dispatch date 1 June 10
Decision received 24 June 10

To get updated timelines please visit http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... tingtimes/

UKBA updates this page on weekly basis.

Based on my personal experience, your application could be late because documents submitted with your application are being verified by UKBA. In some cases it could take 3-6 months or even more to get the decision.

You must have provided documents from overseas or have claimed income from self employment. If this is the case then it could take longer.
