The changes are meant to happen in July 2011 so you may or may not slip through.renegadejay wrote:Hi,
I had my HSMP in August 2006 for 2 years, in august 2008 I had a swtich over for extension under Tier1 and now in August 2011 this will expire. Am I still eligible to apply for ILR? could you please enlighten me with new regulations that are anticipated? I would also like to know required documents I neet to provide.
Please guide me.
The changes (July 2011 laws) were not meant for HSMP migrants prior to November 2006. Hence, this does not affect HSMP immigrants prior to Nov 2006 but will affect any immigrant post Nov 2006.The changes are meant to happen in July 2011 so you may or may not slip through.

Do you or anyone else know if the same rule applies to Work permit holders as well if their permit was approved+stamped during the same period?
Thanks for your help.
