Validity of IELTS for Tier 2

Dear all,

sorry to come back with another question:

Is it true that the IELTS certificate is only valid for 2 years? also is there a minimum score that is required in IELTS for Tier 2 general application?

yes IELTS is valid fr 2 years and i guess the score requirement is anythin above 6.0 overall
there is a pdf document on ukba website abt diff tests n required it has IELTS score as well...

As i am aware of IELTS exam has 2 different versions. One of the exam version is known as General Training exam and 2nd Type of IELTS exam known as Academic. I suppose for Tier-2 visa General Training version exam would be sufficient and i hope some one clarify this please here.
