Thanks again.

Details of the timeline:
1. Applied at the VFS Delhi Centre on 17 June 2010.
2. Visa under review process - 22 Jun 2010.
3. Visa dispatched after processing - 02 July 2010.

Stuff I submitted (Since I was a salaried employee it wasn't too complicated, but took extra precautions since I had a rejection the first time)

1. Age Proof -
-Birth Certificate (original)
-Driving License (photocopy)
-Passport (original)

2. Previous Earnings (claimed only 10 months)
-Employer Cover Letter (Since one of my paycheques were in the form of DD, so got the cover letter staying the dd number)
-Payslips
-Bankstatement

3. Maintenance Proof
-Letter from the bank (can post the format later if required, since I dont have it on this comp)
-Bankstatement (was the same as previous earnings, so just mentioned it in the cover letter)

4. Qualifications
-Degree Certificate (original)
-Original Marksheets

5. English Education
-Letter from University (although my uni was already present in the NAIRC database)

6. Affidavit
Since my name in a few documents had my fathers name also, whereas my real name does not include my fathers name. So I provided an affidavit. (can again send all the formats if required, I dont have them on my machine right now)

Cover letters
- Main cover letter
-Previous Earnings Cover Letter
-Maintenance Cover Letter

From my experience I would suggest that one should go to the VFS Premium Service lounge if available in their cities and get their documents reviewed. The personnel there might provide a few suggestions. I would suggest listen to them carefully, since their advice could be very helpful.
If you have to back out at the last moment because you feel your documents are not complete, you can always back out and come back later since you could get an appointment the very next day.

Anyways, please do let me know if there is any way I can help out.

Once again, thanks for your help.

Regards
Rahul

Hi,

I copied the format from another post I had made earlier.
This is very similar to what I had got on the letter head. There was a bit of extra information on the letter head that the account type was a Savings back account. Also I got mine for a period from 01 Jan 2010 to Jun 16 2010. Hope this helps.

This is to certify that per our records, Account No. XXXXX had a credit balance of INR XXXXX as of close of business hours on 27th April 2010.

Also the minimum balance of the above mentioned account no XXXXX has been Rs XXXXXX for a perdio of (01st Jan 2010 till 29th April 2010) and the same is equivalent to GBP XXXXX at a conversion rate of Rs 67.92 approx only as 29-04-2010.

The above mentioned balance is the savings account as on 29th April 2010 is equivalent to GBP XXXXX at the rate of Rs 67.92 only as on 29-04-2010.
