After learning a lot from this board and other sites, I finally got my application in (Over 28, out-of-country).

Application was received 9/3/06
Credit Card charged 10/3/06
Emailed reference number 11/3/06

Will I next hear from HSMP via email, or do I have to wait for a physical letter?

Cheers...

[Update - just have received approval letter on 27/3/06

This was dated 10/3/06 so they processed the application very quickly.

Good luck to all other applicants...]

congrats willie boy, u got it through. I am a bit confident now after hearing that ur two evidences for earnings were

Payslips
Employer Letter.

I was of the opinion that tax returns is very important to submit, but now i think the other evidences are equally important. I have submitted

Payslips
Letter from Accountant

as evidences. Hope they give me all the 25 points i have claimed.
Me still keeping my fingers crossed, no word from the hsmp team or any email as yet..... didnt get the reference number even

basis

Why isnt there a sticky for timeline info as it is there for Naturalisation Applications in the general forum http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... &start=315 . Why do we need such monthly threads ? At least we can get all the info at one place with one single thread. May be I am missing some thing...

Hi guys,
My application was received on 15th Feb (as told by the courier guys). The decisiion was made on 28th Feb and the documents were dispatched on 1st of March. Thing is that i have not received the documents yet (22 Mar). Also, the HSMP people are not telling the result of the application over phone but they are accepting to the fact that the documents may got lost somewhere. I have called the Royal Mail customer service to get some information possible but they are saying that for normal airmail, they don't keep any record. I enquired in the local post office and they haven't received my documents (although they did delivered the reference number mail on 9th Mar).

Please give me any useful tips which can be of help in this situation. I am a bit worried since i will be losing my original documents.

you can ask the HSMP customer service about the reference number:
Email: wpcustomers@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
Phone: 00441142074074

Just mention your date of birth and name. And they will be able to track your application.

Congrats Robby. Well i am still waiting for the reply from the HSMP team. Its been 15 days now and there is no word from them. The reference number they gave me is also like xxxxxx/03....they wrote 03 coz i applied once earlier, then went for the review and now i am applying again, so this is the 3rd referal to them.

I want to know that on my third referal, will the hsmp team reject me outrightly or give me a chance, as this time i worked a lot on my documents.

I applied for HSMP recently and got rejected. I am an indian and have a job offer from UK. Currently employer is applying for work permit.

Reasons for rejection:
1) Bachelors and Masters earned are not equivalent to UK degrees as the institute is not accredited.
My Institute - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay

Indians, Are you listening !!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like joke of the century to me but the fact is application is rejected.

This is just to provide info of what all can happen to the fellow indians.
