Very Urgent - need to apply by 16 Jul - Previous earnings

Post by vikram845 » Wed Jul 07, 2010 11:57 pm

Hi All,

I am in UK since Nov'2009 and wish to claim previous earning points from my India and Uk Sal as:

01Jun2009 - 06Nov2009 - earning location India with an uplift factor of 5.3
07Nov2009 - 30Jun2010 - earning location UK

For the Month of Nov'2009 I only worked for 6 days in India after which I was tranferred to UK and rest 24 days of Nov'2009 I worked in UK.

Now my company issued me a full salary for the month of Nov for 30 days and then issued another salary slip for Dec for negative 24 days (-24) balancing November payment.

Can you please suggest that if I explain this is my cover letter then will that be sufficient?

For example, for Nov'2009 for 30 days I was paid 40k gross and say 35k net. 35K net appears in my bank statement for nov.
Then in Dec, the salary is for -24 days as -30k gross and -5k net (based on extra tax paid in Nov, etc). This -5k is adjusted in the final IT return for 2009-2010 , when any non-cliamed reimbursements are paid as taxable and this amount (-5k) is adjusted against that.
I will only be claiming points for 6 days of Indian Nov salary as Gross Nov Salary minus Gross Dec Salary = 40k - 30k = 10k

What is the best way to put this forward? do you think it will complicate my case?

Does including/excluding the 6 days pay change your earnings band? If not, why not consider ignoring it?

you will need to then explain clearly this 6 days salary earned with proof
and highlight it properly in application form and letter, should be fine

SO my total salary for Nov'09 for 30 days was 40k, showing in my bank statement.
The negative salary for Dec'09 for -24 days is -10k (the salary for Dec is not directly as (Salalry for Nov/30 * 6))
and there is no record of "-10k" in the bank statement.

So, in the cover letter as long as I say that from Nov salary I am only claiming for 6 days, as "Nov Sal" minus "Dec Sal" = 40-10k = 30k
The should that be good? I wud be attaching attested Nov and Dec payslips.

Can anyone please confirm this ........

I will clearly explain in the cover letter my salary break up but can HO accept salaries as:
1/jul/09 - 6/nov/09 - India Salary
7/nov/09 - 30/jun/10 - UK salary

Will they actually take two salaries for one single month? 6 days for India and 24 for UK? Or is there a possibility that they can reject India salary for Nov for 6 days?
