Its frustrating, very sad & disappointing but there is nothing you can do about that
its well-known that the Irish passport is the most difficult to get one

But i Think some of those who has applied in 2006 may have forgotten to update the profile on editgrid. therefore it will be good reminder. i personally think everybody who applied in 2006 has got their approvals. i personally know many people who applied in september 2006 and got their approval in april 10. It will be good if people can comment on this

Hi Southdubliner
did you also send the Social welfare report along with marriage affidavit? i see from your previous post that you sent additional docs in Oct 2008. you should've got your approval in late 2009 at the worst case. even for applicants who have lived at 15 different addresses have got their gardai report in 6-8 months. have you lived outside ireland since oct 2008 & disclosed this fact to inis?? you should've approached your local td to get an update by now..

So, the move from Dublin to Tiperrary doesn't matter ? When did you send additional docs & did you follow up?

Just curious.. If one gets LTR before naturalised certificate, does it make any difference to processing times of his/her naturalised certificate i.e. less checks etc..

naturalization process in Ireland is very slow and this is intentional and policy at higher level which shows the the mentality . People are waiting more than 43 months.

As the members of the Dail are on their 3month summer holidays, the Minister of Justice is probably also on leave, hence no recent updates.

By the time he returns , there should be a backlog on his desk for approval.
Then a backlog of certs to be issued, and a mass court sitting to have the simultaneous Swearing of Oaths.

absolutely true there are lots and lots of people who even dont have clue about this forum or so busy with their lives dont even bother to open it, anyway every case is dealt independently by dept. of justice
c on edit grid i think less then two hundred people have put their names on that website, so its the same with this forum aswell
anyway hope for the best

Received letter asking for Birth Certificate

Post by cool_irish » Thu Aug 19, 2010 12:49 pm

Hello,

I applied for Naturalization in Dec 2007. I am from India I dont have any birth certificate from my country and it is very difficult to get one now. Today I received a letter from DOJ asking for my Birth Certificate copy. I submitted the Birth Certificate affidavit notarized by my solicitor long back in the format which DOJ had asked earlier. But now they are saying that the one which they have form my records is not valid.

Could anyone let me know if there is any specific format/ way for obtaining Birth Certificate?

Regards,
MG
