RE: regarding Comprehensive sickness cover for EEA2

Am very confused here, am a EU citizend living in UK and my Husband is non EU under the eea fp visa. The thing is that we trying to apply for his resident card but reading through the website i came a cross that we need comprensive sickeness cover. My question am living and working this country for 5 years and never heard about this matter i assumed as am paying NI and tax it automatic included thats what i have been told by many people :\ anyways what does this comprehensive cover means...
When i called the insurance people they all told me its expensive and rather go for a silver or bronze one as the platinum full comprensive one is more expensive. Will the HO only comprensive one or is any sickness (silver or bronze package) cover will do for them......

Separate CSC is needed for self-sufficient persons and students, not for workers.

Huh so that means as am working full-time i dont need one.... what about my husband... he just arrived 2 weeks ago still looking for job but as u know the eea fp will expire 6 month thats why we applying for RC
As he is unemployed i sponsor him instill he finds work. However looking at the form it stated CSC document needed..... is that for only him or for both of us....

If my partner is still self-employed when we submit our EEA2 application, will her VHi Global insurance plan (which is stated as Comprehensive) suffice?

I'll be a full-time student on a PGCE course, and as such, I'm technically covered under NHS, even as an international student. If my partner needs comprehensive insurance, do I as well? Will the plan above count?
