Question About - UK Experience Assessment

Post by kumaran72 » Mon Jul 05, 2010 4:41 pm

5.3 You should confirm that you have included the required evidence of your UK Study Put a cross (x) in the relevant box

Original letter from educational/academic institution at which you studied.
Is the original certificate any good for this? Or do I need a letter from my University?

Thanks in advance

According to UKBA, if you are sending the original certificate of award, you also need to send a letter which confirms on the following points:

- The date of award of the qualification;
- Confirmation, in order to obtain this qualification, you undertook a period of full-time study equivalent to at least one full academic year, or three consecutive academic terms; and
- Start and end dates of the period of study in the United Kingdom.

Personally, I am also trying to claim points for UK study experience, but I participated in a predominantly work-based learning programme for a full year to obtain a a post-grad professional certificate - not sure if the UKBA would consider this as being "full-time study". Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Letter from institution / university / awarding body required. Read para 169 and 170 of the policy guidance.
