I had my passport application identity interview yesterday. Previous posts here have said how it is a short one, but mine was lengthy and quite intrusive. Here are a few questions that I can rememeber:

What are your full names? Spell them backwards from last to first.
What is your full address including post code? When did you move in?
Does anyone else over the age of 16 live in your house? Who?
Have you been known by other names?
Are you married, divorced, single etc?
Do you have children ? If so how many?
Does your wife / children live with you in same address?
Your previous address, post code and how long you lived there.
What is your date of birth? Where were you born?
When did you take your naturalisation ceremeny? Where? public /private?
Your mother's name and date of birth? Place / Country of birth?
Your father's date of birth? Place / Country of birth?
How manay bank accounts do you have and which ones
How many credit card and store cards do you have? Which cards and stores
Do you have a morgage? with what bank?
Mobiles contarcts? which company and how much/month
Who signed your form? his age, profession
HAve you received your documents back
etc
etc
etc

Hi Noah11,
I had carried all sorts of documents eg bills as proof of address etc. But at the interview center I was told they do not want anything not even the letter inviting me. You enter the interview cubical with NOTHING and if you have some papers you leave them at the waiting area.

Delay from home office :(

19 July 2010

Between 19 July and 30 July 2010, the UK Boder Agency's sponsor licensing and management units are prioritising work to implement the government's new policy on an interim immigration limit.

As a result, other work areas may be delayed. If you have have already sent an application or other request to us, please be patient - we will process it as soon as we can.

We appreciate your patience at this time, and will deal with any outstanding cases as soon as possible when the work on the interim limit is completed. General enqueries about sponsorship can be made to the sponsorship and employers' helpline as usual.

New fee for the reconsideration of naturalisation and citizenship applications

16 July 2010

From 1 September 2010, we will introduce a fee of £100 to reconsider applications for naturalisation and British citizenship that have been refused.

Regulation 33 of the Immigration and Nationality (Cost Recovery Fees) Regulations 2010, which came into force on 6 April 2010, gave the Secretary of State the power to charge £100 for the reconsideration of an application for naturalisation or registration as a British citizen that had previously been refused.

From 1 September 2010, all requests for the reconsideration of these applications must be accompanied by a fee of £100. Applications that are not accompanied by the appropriate fee will be deemed invalid and will be returned.

If the original decision taken on your application is upheld, the £100 fee will be retained to cover administrative costs. However, if the original decision made on your application is considered incorrect and your application is then approved, £80 will be retained to cover the cost of the citizenship ceremony (if applicable) and £20 will be refunded to you.

@joe london, cos what i found out is that if u're self employed, ukba must request a confirmation letter from inland revenue to see if your Taxes are in order.More so, have u got a legacy case? what's ur criteria cos I sent an application for a buddy despite 3 point on his licence which we did not mention, they approve him approximately in 5 weeks, first they sent a letter requesting some 3 months payslip and that was it,though it was thru EEA route i.e 2 weeks after receiving permanent residence card. U can pm me indetails and I may suggest things to u

They asked for my passport as evidence of being in UK since 2007. I also sent them P60s together with my passports covering this period. I have been here a lot longer than that so I sent them my expired and current passports.
