time taken to process tier 2 dependant visa from pakistan

hi i,ve applied for tier 2 dependant visa along with my baby approx 7 weeks back and no reply yet.my husband is a doctor in uk.can anyone tell about time required to get passport back.has anyone applied in year 2010.

The processing times for Pakistan are averging about 6 - 8 weeks. The most that you could end up waiting is 120 days +.

After 14 weeks you can call the embassy and they are obliged to give you an update on the processing of the Visa.

Ergo: Nothing to panic about, just make a few more cups of tea and try not to think about it.

Hi and welcome to the forums. I know waiting can be hard, my wife applied for tier1 dep visa from Lahore on the 27th of Jan 2010. There has been no update till today. There are couple of others waiting you can see the following post

it was refused as i submitted unattested photocopy of my husbands visa.

No Attesting a UK Visa!! How can they refuse on this? They could easily verify its authenticity.

Seems a country specific requirement dictated by the local BHC, e.g. - in Pakistan.

pakistan is being easy money for home office.@sushdmehta my husband is working as doctor in uk he is living in nhs hospital family accomodation.all his bills are paid by hospital so i cant submit utility bills as proof of address his driving lisence has old address and it will take sooo long to change it there.can i submit only tenancy aggrement and letter from accomodation officer as a proof of address also his recent bank statement has his new address.i cant bear to see it rejected for not enough proof of address .
