French Work Permit

I am a South African citizen, that recently received a job offer in France as a nuclear engineer. Can anyone help me to estimate the duration of the process to obtain a Work permit?

French administration may be incredibly fast sometimes ...

If Areva, Edf and so on ... so you (and your family) may fall under this one :

If academic research center, it may be longer but no more than two months (family included).
