Thank you. I know it was quick but it did seem like a long time .... to me anyway - I'm the one checked the forums - my husband just carried on as normal. Someone told him it would take 2-3 months so he just accepted that.
I'm sure everyone waiting will hear something eventually. From what I've read, it doesn't appear applications are dealt with in a fair way. If yours gets put to the bottom of the pile and further ones added on top then yours is not going to get allocated until the last - regardless of its date ........ that's my personal opinion only.
Good luck to everyone and I'm going to keep checking in until I see Joelondon has good news!

Well I think its not the case that they are just adding up the new cases on the top of the pile, I believe they cannot be so unfair with the people in this way, and am sure they have a computerised system to log in the cases according to the dates,
to get delay involves many factors,
Initial Checks + Case worker load + Further Checks + postal times etc etc.
And if case worker who has been assigned a case has gone on holidays then .......

is it ok if i'll send my application of passport by myself instead using check & send.what will they check? i mean in any case we'll have to send our original documents so whats the significance to use check & send service.
infact i was thinking the same when i applied for nationality but in that case my daughter' school trip was going to GErmany so we need passport thats y i used NCS.

POSTAL
Criteria: 2yr Spouse plus 1yr ILR (Pakistani National)
29th June: Application Submitted
30th June: Received by HO
5th July: Payment deducted
9th July: Sent HO letter advising them of a speeding conviction (SP30) as points were endorsed on license on 6th July (not convicted in court)
21st July: Documents received back via The DX Courier service with a letter advising that the application has been successful (dated 16th July) and that we should wait for a letter inviting to the ceremony
I am extremely surprised that we got my husbands approval so quick because there were a number of issues we had. First of all we do not know my husband’s parents date of birth because it was not recorded at the time of birth and his mum has since passed away. Secondly my husband was caught on a speeding camera in May but we did not receive the first letter the police sent and the second letter was received in June (just before we sent the application). I did not declare it on the form because we still did not know how many points will be endorsed etc and only after browsing this forum I was I panicked and thought I should have notified them but was given advice that as long as it is not convicted in court I should not worry about it. I still sent a letter and asked them to apply their discretion.
I am assuming I should wait for another letter to follow to complete this journey. I sincerely hope everyone gets their decisions soon – and would advise not to worry as the more you wait for the decision the longer it will feel. I just sent the application and was not expecting a reply any time soon and I was pleasantly surprised!
Heres wishing everyone (Especially joelondon!) get their decisions soon
Kind Regards

Congratulations
So quick as well just 22 or so days. Also remember your posts from a couple of weeks ago worrying about the speeding offence.
With regards to ceremony, I would give them a few days and if not received anything say beginning next week then give the council a ring to 'book' your ceremony.
once again congrats

Hello. Quick question for those who already obtained their passports. Is the passport dated before, on, or after the date of the interview? It seems that passports are usually received shortly after the interview so I am just wondering whether they have everything finalised by the time of the interview, waiting for the final identity check before it's sent, or if they do everything (quickly) after the interview.

Mine is dated the
date of interview which was surprisingly a Saturday afternoon, and received the folowing Monday.
