Hi,

I have got my workpermit in aug 2006 for 5 years till aug 2011 .i am eligible for ILR/Probation citizenship in july 2011.

Will my employer need to apply for sponsorship? i have got my workpermit under old rules i.e not under tier 2.please let me know

Referring to your earlier posts, if you apply within the time window mentioned, then you will not need to apply for extension. Otherwise you'll need to apply for extension under Tier 2 and yes, your employer will need to sponsor you (issue CoS). Read Transitional arrangements.
