immigration cap- Wil it effect those in UK for ILR?

Post by Son_of_Soil » Wed Jul 21, 2010 11:36 am

Hi
As we all know that UKBA has placed an immigration cap on the amount of skilled people required in UK. Does any one know if this immigration cap ( or the one in april 2011 which will be a permanent cap) will effect peeople already in uk waiting for ILR?

How can you possibly expect anyone to know when even the govt. doesn't know as yet? The consultation on permanent limit on immigration under economic categories has just started. Haven't yet heard a rumour on capping settlement numbers either.

I hope you are aware that you might be applying for probationary citizenship and not settlement (ILR).

I think probationary citizenship is no longer relevant...as i dont see any info UKBA site. So, if some one still finds it on official website, then i think it is worth thinking about it.
