NON-EU wife arriving

Post by Trimax » Thu Jul 22, 2010 1:43 am

Hello all

My NON-EU wife will soon be coming here on a D-visa (join spouse)
for the first time

I am Irish living in Dublin

My question is simple

Must I arrive with her and we walk through non-EU together ?

or

can I save money on my flights and just meet her in Dublin airport ?

I cant see the point in me leaving Dublin in order to fly back to Dublin to talk to a GNIB officer in Dublin when I live up the road!

Thanks everyone!

No, you don't have to fly. Just make sure that your spouse has all the documents ready to present to the immigration officer at the airport, and also you details. if they wish to talk to you in person, they can call you.

there is absolutely no need for u to go there well you can be waiting outside the airport if you want to recieve your spouse but the immigration officers normally ring if they need to know anything

Just wait for her in the airport, the immigration just will look on her passport and the visa, and they willl give her like 3 mos to stay and she will be told to go to the nearest gardai station where u live to get stamp 4. Simple as that :)
