Third dcument asked for salary proof (In Person app)-update

Post by hacky » Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:17 am

Hi All

I know the queries are very basic/childish but am in a tense state.

Anyway my employer says that it will only give a letter stating that I was employed with him from so and so date and am pesently deputed in UK.

They are not even willing to put in the date on which i started working in UK.

Can anyone advise what to do in this case.

Hi

I had an in person appointment in Solihull.

The case worker verified all my documents. All were fine except he raised this point for my salary:

I had shown 10 months India salary and 2 months UK salary. The salary receipts and bank statement were ok and as required.

The case worker said that you also need a letter from your employer conirming that for the 10 months India salary, you were in India only.

Basically he asked for a letter from emplyer stating that I was in India during that duration and said that it will be good if salary details are also mentioned in that letter.

I told him as per guidelines I need to show only two proofs and I have shown both. He said he agrees but :
"in person applications can only be approved for straight forward cases. He said that if you submit your application through post than your two proofs are enough since they can do background check but if I need to go through In Person route, I will need that letter"

He said your application is not rejected but for In Person approval you will need that letter besides slary slips and bak statement else you can submit the application through post. He also confirmed the same with his manager .

Anyway he was good enough to give me a slot for next week.

My question is has anyone else faced same issue?

Also, if my employer doesnt gives the letter, Is post the only way left? Is there soem UKBA contact where I can further inquire or complain.

Though the policy guidance does not say to produce another proof for previous earning, but he said does make sense.

As your case have the complication of earning from 2 countries during the claim period and there have been cases in the past where the applicant continues to be in UK but receives income back in India...i think that's the reason why he's asking for another proof to be sure you were in India during the 10 months of your claim period...

You could have shown your immigration stamps on passport which would detail you entering UK only 2 months back.

If somehow its not possible in your case, I'd suggest to get letter from your employer as asked by case worker.

Don't pay attention to all this petty stuffs, you should concentrate more on the content of the letter and make sure it includes all the details what case worker asked for.

As fas as your query goes, you can mention -

To,
The Immigration officer

To whomsoever it may concern,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

My response / shock wasn't not directed towards you but to the OP 'coz of the nature of (most recent) queries.
