Application by post

I sent my application by special signed for delivery on 16th July however the royal mail website still says your item with reference ZW**********GB has reached its PO Box and is awaiting collection/delivery.
I rang the UKBA customer service no. they without even asking for any details straight away said that they can’t tell me anything until the payment has been deducted.

I am just wondering is it a normal think for the application to be stuck at the post box for more than 1 week?

Yes. Nothing unusual, and before you ask, no this will have no impact on your "date of application".

Relax and stop worrying unnecessarily.
