Do some homework, google up and look up some profiles to get an idea of how a profile should be organised.

You don't really need a "mainframes" profile if you are looking for a good template.

It's cos mainframes are soooo 1970's....

this is not true, as many banking, retail and insurance domains still run mainframes. My friend is getting calls from around London area.

Very much true. There is no special CV for each domain. You need to tailor your own CV. Once you are satisfied with your CV, you can answer to the questions in the interview when asked from the CV.

Showcase your strengths, achievements and the projects with roles and responsibilities. Limit the CV to 3 pages at the max.
