ILR decision - help needed

Post by sam1000s » Fri Mar 24, 2006 12:05 pm

Hi,

I came here on VISIT-C (visit visa) from India on MAR 5TH 2002 and I obtained WP
on JUNE 6TH 2002 (without leaving UK) and got transfered to another WP on JAN 2005 (which is about to finish by JAN 2007)

If I take my Arrival date in UK into account, I've finished my 4 yrs tenure on MAR 5TH 2006.

Am I be eligible for applying ILR now?

If yes please let me know about your service regarding that issue and fees.

Thanking you

Please reply

Period in UK with Visitors Visa does not count towards ILR
Where there is a will there is a way.

sam1000s,

In detail:

As Chess said your stay as visitor in the country is not counted for ILR.
So under the new rules, you will be qualified for ILR on 8th May 2007.

You might need to extend your WP for 1 more year.

And this forum is a group of very generous people who will give valuable immigration information for free. Moderators being very informative here.

As far as I know, they do not provide any immigration services.

Hi kavik & mhunjn,

It was a mistake..I just quickly cut/pasted the email, which I sent to a solicitor...

I've forgotten to delete the line
" If yes please let me know about your service...."

Sorry for that...

Anyway I thank you for your reply...
