Previous earnings - pay date or pay period

Post by ahmed007 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:09 pm

Dear Members,
I have done a search and found many questions regarding earning period but none matched my case.
Applying for tier 1 switching within UK. Have a Bank Statement covering 26th May 2009 to 29 April 2010. Assuming I am sending application to Home Office on 10th of July I understand may earning period can be any 12 consec months from 11th of May 2009 - which is 15 calender months... so this is clear.
May 2009 pay was credited to my bank on 28th of May 2009, and the 12th month which is April 2010 was credited on 29th of April 2010.

If I claim 28th of May 09 to 29th of April 10 then It is 12months 1day period... nont sure how to approach this in order to claim 12 monthly payments?
Note that Period end date for May 09 is 31May and for April 2010 is 30th of April... can I claim based on period end dates or pay dates?
Hope I am making sence

If you r a monthly salaried one... yo can use any 12 consecutive months from 1st April 09 till 31st March 10;

12 or 15months here should be taken as the period you worked n not the salary deposited dates...

goodluck

Hi guys,

I have a question to both of you regarding what you wrote:

Basically, i will be applying for the Tier 1 General in December 2010, therefore, i will be claiming my earnings for the period 1-Dec-2009 till 30-Nov-2010 (which is 12 consecutive month).

Here is my dilema, i get paid at the end of each month, so for the december work, i get paid on the 31st of December. However, i have reveived a Bonus on the 6th of December 2009, which is crucial for me to reach the 35,000 band.

Is is ok if i include the bonus or is that 'cheating':

to clarify: Earning from 1 Dec 09 to 30 Nov 10
Payslips:
6 Dec: Bonus
31 Dec: paycheck
31 Jan: Paycheck
28 Feb: paycheck
....
30 Nov: paycheck.

Thank you for your help.
