Need help with maintenance funds

Hi Friends,

My brother is applying for Tier1 from India and the query is as follows.

He has deposited about 1lac rupees at once in bulk into his account 3 months ago so that he can show £2800 as maintenance funds. Will the HO question about the bulk money deposited into his account? Will this be an issue? He is plng to apply in a week's time I am worried about this. Could you please throw some light?

Wait until 3 months have passed and arrange for bank statement to cover dates such that that the (huge) credit doesn't show up in the 3 month period transactions.

IMHO ...
