Cerified copy of passport

Post by Casapot » Mon Aug 02, 2010 9:47 am

Hi All
I have called several solicitors to have my passport certified, however they have all said that they need to have known me for 2 years. As I dont have a family solicitor any advice on what I should do.

Thankyou :D

Hmmm, that's odd, I had to do the same thing last week and of the two solicitors I contacted in Dover both were prepared to do it for me - for a fiver. I'd suggest finding some others - or coming to Dover!

Good luck:)

What???. He does not have to know you to certify your passport. All he has to do is to copy pagesyour passport and then certify the copies to say this is a true copy of your passport.

Try another solicitor and pay max £10 for it.

@batleykhan..
Hello ..
Called at solicitors today the lady said if i went in she would stamp it with solicitor stamp and sign to say it is true copy of my passport and sign it. 50p per page. However she said if I need a solicitor to do it they would charge £5 per page. Is the stamp and her signature suffice or do I need the actual solicitor sign?

Thankyou

In my opinion yes, ( cos I am too cautious) but the choice is yours to make.

You dont have to copy everypage if you do not want to do so.Just the one's with your photo and informatioon and any page with any entry and exit stamps on it..That was your last request :lol:
