Can the maintenance funds be used for flight expenses or till when that amount needs to be left untouched, even if you are flying like couple of months later??

As per the guidelines maintainance funds need to kept in a state which satisfies the the eligibility criteria till the date on which you have made the application...to be on the safer side people tend to keep it the way it is untill a decision is made on the application ..

keep in a/c till u arrive , some time u may be asked at air port about holding money for yr disposal and u may face some hassel
