IELTS test validity for HSW application

I have found in CIC website that test results must not be older than 1 year at the time of application. Since IELTS validity is 2 years, does it mean that one must apply within a year from getting the scores, or one must apply within a year from the last day of IELTS validity?

It would really help if anyone could comment

One year from the date you took the test.
