i thought i would get a quick response as i applied through a lawyer of the immigration and asylum service ,an organization recommended by the bhc and having offices in over 23 countries.

But God knows best.

It does not matter who you apply through, you have to wait in the queue like everybody else. Applying through IAS does not give you preference over others

Aoa

I am not talking about preferance ,i think i was misunderstood. The way ICS lawyer prepare the application ,for that matter any lawyer including you batleykhan,it is done with much more clarity and also the brief that you people create.I thought it helps the ECO in making a much quicker deccesion.

Trust me i was told in no uncertain terms by my lawyer that i will not get any preferance over any other applicant.

Hopefully i have cleared any unconfusion i might unwittingly have created

Allah Hafiz for now.

Going through good legal representation helps a lot.

No preference but good presentation.

Salams,

Still waiting as well!

I've worked it out that it can take up to 8 weeks to get your documents back from when the decision is made.

For me its been two week since decision so a long way to go yet... :(

Hi Everybody

My husband is in his 15th Week since we received the determination for a successful appeal and there is still no sign of the call letter.

The FCO advised that his application is still in progress and I've got our MP involved but no joy yet.

From the discussions on here it looks like we will be waiting even longer once the call letter arrives and he has submitted his passport.

I was really hoping he would be here for December but I'm not so sure now.

:(

Documents collection does'nt mean at all that visa has been issued,it just informs the applicant to come and collect the docs and only then applicant comes to know that whether visa has been issued or not

Did they send any email to your MP to confirm that visa has been issued?

or did your partner collect her docs today from the VAC???

If she has not yet collected then i hope inshallah it will be a positive decision and if your partner has collected visa then a big congratulations :)

Good luck
