WP Dependent Visa

I just got a WP Dependent Visa. It does not specifically say whether I can work or I cannot work.

Does anyone who got their visa recently, share their experience whether the visa has to be explicitly mentioned with "eligible to work"?

Also, do I need to get NI number before I can start work?

If you cannot work, then the visa's endorsement would explicitly say so.
