Dependant visa - workpermit to tier1

Dependant visa - workpermit to tier1

Hi,

I have been on the workpermit in the UK since 2007 and recently switched to Tier 1 in July 2010. My spouse joined me in 2009 in the UK as my dependant after obtaining the EC. Her visa says, "visa to join partner"

My question is , do I need to send a fresh application for her to change her visa to Tier 1 dependant or can she remain on her original visa ?

Any guidance will be much appreciated.

I think that she should switch too.
