Yeah I think we should wait for couple of weeks as from 77rus and Rex posts it seems people are receiving letters who submitted application on 5-6th July.

I also live Harrow and going to apply for my Citizenship in October this year, based on 4+1 ILR on HSMP JR case. Is Harrow service good and quick or would you recommend to go to Brent Council? Also, I need to arrange my Oath ceremoney as soon as I get approval. Also, let me know what documents are required.

Allview, Harrow is excellent or at-least my councillor was excellent. I took many documents but she kept the bare minimum and the results looks great. Actually my application was approved 26th Juy..but I received it late.

To be honest, my experience all through with UKBA and government offices have been excellent. So touch wood I have been lucky....or maybe most of UK government is quite efficient. (Not Royal Mail though).

I got my Naturalisation on 31st Oct 2009. In the home office website it states that you can apply afet 1 year of getting indefinite. My one year completes on 4th October acc to calander. Can i apply after this or i need to wait till 31st October. Any suggestion will be highly appreciable

You can apply for Naturlisation after 5/6 years in this country and 1 years after ILR. In you case, it would be best to ring them, give your dates and they will tell you when to apply.

Over the new passport there was a mistake in my middle name, so visited Passport office on 09-Aug-2010,
showed Naturalization Certificate, Passport Appliction Reference Number, Passport (having incorrect spell name) and photocopy of the passport application.
Passport office took 3 hours on the same day to get new passport printed with correct name. Very good service.

I would appriciate if anyone could help me deciding WHAT DATE shall I take my Naturalisation Appointment for NCS? I need to decide on what date, I am eligible to apply for my Naturalisation. Check the dates and let me know. I am eligible under HSMP Judicial review case and am eligible to apply after 5 years stay in UK.


• I came to UK on: 14 October 2005
• ILR Approval: 16 September 2009
• Naturalisation application: Is it on or after 14 October 2010??

It is mentioned on UKBA website on http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... uirements/ that ‘if we receive your application on 25 March 2010, you must show that you were in the UK on 26 March 2005.'

I am planning to book an appointment for 14 October 2010. Would that be okay?

Please let me know.
