Non-Eu Moving to France with EU girlfriend

Post by kash1 » Sun Aug 08, 2010 5:25 pm

Hello,
I'm a Non-EU student living in France. I have girlfriend from Sweden. We will marry soon. She is currently living in Sweden but plan to move with me. Can I apply for permanent residence in France based on Swedish girlfriend?
What are the requirements for the girl? She dont have any job in France. Is there any option?
Thanks

And how might you attain PR in France simply based on having a "Swedish girlfriend"?

This "girl" plans to do what exactly in France?

thanks for your reply. As i mentioned, we will get married soon and she just to move with me. I came to know that a non eu partner can get residence card based on EU partner. Is it true? If so, what are the requirements?
She plans to learn french language in France, dont have much other plans.

No, my visa is not going to expire, neither i asked cos i was desperate to stay here. I can stay up to 4 more years (because of my studies) , but I was thinking if its possible to take advantage and get permanent residence, because with my current (student) status,i wont be eligible to apply for permanent residence.
