How to get B1 visa rejection reference number

Hi,
My visa was rejected on Feb 2010 and I want a reference number for that application.

- I checked my passport for yellow stickers/pen marks entries because that is where the reference number is present usually but cant find any
- I called VFS helpline and they are very unhelpful and said they cannot give any reference
- I have emailed them for my number

I badly need this number for my UK application because they ask for any rejections to any country and ask for a reference number.

Is there anything else I can do please?

Simply write your refusal reasons and date and visa category.Leave ref column blank( or write dont remember)
