But I wanted to confirm my thought, Even if I apply in october 2010 then also I would complete 5 years in UK before my extension expires. So there shouldn't be any issues at the time of PR ? What you say ?

There is no rule which states that it will be from the day of application. Many people received it from the date of expiry of the Visa and a few received it from the date of application. I have read a few cases about people sending back the passports to HO and getting the date changed to 2 years hence from the actual date of expiry.lovnishs wrote:if I would be granted visa then it would start from my date of application that would be in October 2010.
